Welcome to Sparkle Kids Art
Art workshops for kids aged 6–12 in the Logan area, during school holidays and on weekends
We've designed our art workshops around the moment when a child looks at what they made and thinks, "I didn't know I could do that". It's one of the best feelings in the world.
We don't offer ongoing term commitments here. Just great one-off workshops where your child gets stuck in, discovers what they're capable of, and goes home with a piece of artwork ready to display proudly.
What matters to us
Confidence
You'll love the painting. You'll love what it does for your child more.
Calm
Relaxed, encouraging, and at your child's pace. We're not in a hurry.
Connection
In our studio, kids stop comparing and start cheering each other on.
School holiday workshops
Looking for something to do with the kids in Logan these school holidays? At Sparkle Kids Art, we guide your child using techniques that reliably produce something beautiful, regardless of experience.
Bring your Grown-Up! Colourful Doodle Flowers (ages 6-9)
Working on a stretched canvas, we will explore different types of flowers - including Australian natives. Then we'll get started on creating our own unique vase and flowers using paint sticks. Once we've filled the canvas with beautiful blooms, we'll use acrylic paint markers in various sizes to add details and finishing touches!
Children aged 6-9 and their favourite grown-up (optional) will paint side by side, and go home with two painted canvases ready to display.
Date: Wed 23rd Sept 2026
Cost: $30 per person, all materials included
Fantasy Landscape (ages 9-12)
Using watercolour, oil pastels, and coloured pencils, we'll build a fantasy landscape full of rolling hills, rich textures, and imaginative details. Through castles, hot air balloons, and trees (or whatever world you want to create!), we'll explore atmospheric perspective - the visual differences between things that are closer to us and those that are further away.
A mixed-media artwork where each section of the landscape gets its own pattern and texture, making every painting a detailed, layered artwork that's completely unique.
Date: Wed 23rd Sept 2026
Cost: $30 per person, all materials included
Unpainted Animals (ages 9-12)
Instead of painting our animal, we’ll paint everything around it, letting it emerge from the background. We’ll fill our animal with doodles, patterns, and details that make it completely our own.
Every kid chooses their own animal, colours, and doodle style, so every painting is unique. Everyone takes their artwork home in a frame, ready to display proudly.
Date: Sat 26th Sept 2026
Cost: $30 per person, all materials included
Shaking Dogs (ages 6-9)
We'll draw our own shaggy, shaking dogs and bring them to life using colour and expressive finger painting. Add flying water droplets all around, and you've got a painting full of movement, personality, and pure joy.
Every child will choose their own style and colours for their dog, so no two paintings will ever look the same. Everyone takes their unique artwork home in a frame, ready to display proudly.
Date: Sat 26th Sept 2026
Cost: $30 per person, all materials included
Bring your Grown-Up! Constellation Creatures (ages 6-9)
To celebrate World Space Week, we'll paint a swirling galaxy background on a circular disc using acrylic paints with deep blues, purples, and a glowing centre. Then we'll choose our own animal and map it across the night sky as a constellation, connecting the stars with geometric lines to bring our creature to life.
Children aged 6-9 and their favourite grown-up (optional) will paint side by side and leave with two round constellation artworks ready to display proudly at home.
Date: Wed 30th Sept 2026

What other parents say
Hi, I'm Amy
I'm the founder of Sparkle Kids Art, a local mum, and a firm believer that every child is capable of making something that genuinely surprises them.
I started Sparkle Kids Art because I noticed a gap. When the school holidays came around, my daughter and I would look for one-off art workshops and we kept coming up empty. Everything was ongoing classes or nothing at all. So I decided to create what we were looking for.
My belief is simple: art builds confidence. When a child looks at something they made with their own hands and thinks "I didn't know I could do that", that feeling changes something in them. I've seen it happen, and it never gets old.
For most of my life, I've volunteered with a program dedicated to building confidence and leadership in girls and young women. Watching young people discover what they're capable of is something I'm genuinely passionate about. That same philosophy is at the heart of every Sparkle Kids Art session.
My daughter — who is six and has very strong opinions about which paintings we should offer — has been my most enthusiastic collaborator. She's also my quality control.

Absolutely! We run two different age groups so that Amy can use age-appropriate instructions, techniques, and materials. If your older kid is happy to join a workshop for younger kids, they are more than welcome to do that!
Payment is required when booking and is processed securely via Square. If you'd like to pay cash, please get in touch.
Full refund for cancellations made 48 hours or more before the session. For cancellations within 48 hours, we're unable to offer a refund but may be able to transfer your booking to a future session - please email us.
We ask parents to drop off and collect at the end. Children tend to focus better when parents aren't present. For children who are particularly anxious, please get in touch before booking so we can chat about options.
